Chesterton High School proudly inducts The Whitaker Family into the CHS Athletic Hall of Fame – Class of 2023! Steve and Lisa Whitaker’s children — Talor, Kyle, Aaron, and Ethan — all became state swimming champions and continued their success at the collegiate level, competing for Division I schools. Together, the Whitaker siblings combined for an astonishing 28 state individual and relay titles, with multiple team state championships among the three brothers. Talor won 3 individual and 3 relay state titles and swam at Washington State. Kyle, Indiana’s most decorated high school swimmer, went 8 for 8 in individual state events, won 4 relay titles, and swam for Michigan. Aaron captured 4 individual and 4 relay state championships, also swimming at Michigan. Ethan earned multiple relay state championships and competed at the Naval Academy. The Whitaker legacy continues beyond the pool: Talor is a news producer in Indianapolis, Kyle serves as athletic director at Victory Christian High, Aaron is a First Lieutenant in the Marine Corps stationed in Hawaii, and Ethan leads over 300 Marines in cyber warfare training in Pensacola, Florida.
