CHESTERTON HIGH SCHOOL BOYS VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY Boys Varsity Cross Country Wins Conference Title Saturday, October 4, 2025 9:00 AM Place Points 1 43 Meet Recap Cross Country On an unseasonably warm first Saturday in October at the La Porte Kesling Park course, the Trojan Boys Cross Country Team won it's first Duneland Athletic Conference (DAC) title since 2009. In what turned into a two team race, the boys beat second place Crown Point by 12 points. Junior Ryan Nix won the overall title over Lake Central's Ben Perschon. Ryan was one of four Trojans in the top twelve, thereby earning All-Conference status. Joining Ryan were junior Spencer Martin (5th); senior William Morgan (11th); and, senior Ray Hundt (12th). This was the second All-Conference award for Nix, Martin, and Hundt. Rounding out the scoring was Will Roberson (14th). The Trojans were helped by the continued absence of Crown Point's talented freshman, Jackson Barnes, who hasn't raced in several weeks. The reserves were led by sophomore Xander Sierazy who was the overall winner. The boys narrowly missed sweeping all four titles, being edged by Crown Point for the reserve team title on the sixth man tiebreaker. Next for the Tojans, they host the Chesterton Sectional in two weeks. Opponents School Place Points Chesterton High School 1 43 Posted by Tom Moeller tommoeller27@gmail.com
