The Lady Trojans hosted the Wildcats of Hanover Central in the first game of a doubleheader Wednesday night. Hanover struck first, but the Trojans countered immediately with a ten play touchdown drive. Izzy Harvey completed each of her six passes, finding Lexi Gano for a touchdown. Later in the game, Harvey and Gano would hook up again for a twenty-four yard touchdown strike. Midway through the second half, it looked as though the Wildcats would break through, but a wayward pass deep in Chesterton territory was intercepted by Lexi Gano and returned nearly the length of the field for a touchdown. Senior Taylor Mayle would add the extra point. The Wildcats clawed their way back and evened the score with less than two minutes to go. The Trojans hurry-up offense drove all the way to the Hanover twenty-six yard line, but ultimately stalled, ending the exhilarating contest in a 19-19 tie. Senior defensive standout Mady Clark led the team with twelve flag pulls. Senior Annebell Haas showed up big for the offense, with a team-leading six catches to go with her seven flag pulls on defense. Maddy Vickers pulled four flags and broke up two passes. Flags were also pulled by Isabelle Kish (6), Aubrey Lorenz (5), Natalie Hargarten (4), Bia Fernandes Campos (2), Lexi Gano (2), Asia McClelland (2), Matilda Pagels (1), Hailey Arriazza (1), and Natalie Miller (1).
